Trekking to the base of Torres del Paine
Full Day – Advanced
The Torres, or Towers, of Torres del Paine National Park are granite monoliths created by the outcropping of an igneous rock that has been eroded by glaciers, rivers and wind over time. This 8-hour round-trip trek begins at the base of Admiral Nieto Mountain and winds up the Ascencio Valley to Refugio Chileno. It then continues through a beech forest and ends with a climb up a moraine of large rocks that will bring us to the base of the Towers. Weather permitting, we will be able to see the North Tower, Central Tower and South Tower in all their splendor.
